Sucess in College

High school grads ask what am I going to be when I grow up. When you are done with high school and you don't know what you want to be, take responsibility by going to college to take basic classes so when you are ready to peruse a degree you have some classes out of your way. The teachers in college do not force you or make you turn in your work or even come to class it is your money and your life. Turn in your work and show up to class to make yourself feel good and so you are not wasting your money. Most classes they base have their grade on attendance and participation, so if you don't do any of that you are liable to fail that class. Instead of spending your money on something you don't like go into a career that fits your personality. When registering for classes don't take a work load that will stress you out, know your stress level and how much you can handle and your college life will be a fun and enjoy time. If you follow these simple rules that I found easy while in college you will be an A student and have an easier life.

April

Wow is April ever going to be warm enough so I can get ready for show season. I only have less then a month before my first show and have not even had the horses out. I will never be ready for the circit. I have a lot to do like get them all shedded out, cliped, and work with them so I dont look like a fool when they act up. I hope this show year will be great just like last year.

Inteview

     1. How long have you been a cattle rancher?
              - 14 years
     2. What where your tasks?
              - feeding
              - watering
              - castrating
              - giving shots
              - maintaining a healthy cow
              - pulling ( with birthing)

     3. What is the most exciting part of being a cattler rancher?
               - ropping of the back of a 4-wheeler
               - having all the free time I want
     4. What is Non exciting of being a cattle rancher?
                - sleeping out in the barn when a cow is having trouble giving birth
     5. How much money do you make in a years time?
               - $60,000 ( $5,000 a month: $2.25 hourly)

The case of torture

In the work “The Case of Torture” by Michael Levin, Torture is a good thing. when we are on trial and not telling anybody where anybody is they torture them to us. Levin also says that torture is a unconstitutional, barbaric. Once we know that torture is ok then we save twice as many people. Torture is not to be characterized as punishment. When we break through peoples past that is more than torture, what if they had a past of abuse and now they have to relive that just to tell. Assassination is just like torture because they have to torture the person just to get the killer. There are many differences between terrorist and the victims. The victims are the ones at risk. Have you ever seen the TV show Without a trace, they have to almost beat their killers or kidnappers just so they will tell them where they are.

Literary Elements

     In the Linda Hogan poem “ Workday” she tells you how her day goes from the time she leaves to the time gets home. Linda has visual imagery throughout the poem like describing what people look like to what their body functions are when they are on the bus. The workday poem is tight so the reader senses that she has a lot of emotions bottled up inside that has not let go. Linda talks about how “her sisters are chained to a prison bed”(224)and how “her family is grieving over a lost child”. (224) The poem really has a hidden meaning that she dryads going to work because it reminds her of what it used to be like when she was young. That is in means of allegory.

     In Tom Waymans Poem “Did I Miss Anything” they go on telling the person who missed class what they talked about and how the class went. In “take as many days off as you like”(226) is a form of metaphor, some people could take that seriously and some take it as a joke and come to class when they are the only ones there. One of the students is using diction to get the point across on what they had to do. The reading of the book and a quiz over it and took an exam that was only worth 40%. You can also tell when the student was talking to when the teacher was talking, when the student was talking it would be indented and when the teacher was talking it would not be indented.   

An Auction

Saturday my dad and I and my boyfriend went to an auction. We had a couple of Roosters to get rid of. we got 3.50 a piece for them I cant complain. I saw this bunny that I wanted and I begged dad to buy me a bunny, well it worked I came home with a baby bunny and a trailer full of hay for the animals. Now I can have baby bunnies. I have a buck and a doe. I cant believe that they only have a gestation peroid of 30 days Wow! Anybody need a bunny in the summer,let me know.

What a day

Well yesturday went good for most of the day when I had to start homework. I have never been good at writting and starting to put all my ideas into pharagraph form was not going well nothing came together so I thought i would just give up. So I just got down the intro and have no idea what I want to write for the rest.

Trip to Texas

Today we are heading to Texas to see my Boyfriends sister and her kids. When we got their the wind was blowing for the next 2 days. we are going to be their for 2 weeks and going to have great weather but it was cold to them but warm to us. The first week we are down their we are going to head out to Arizona to see my grandparents and go out on a jeep ride in the desert and look at was the illegals left behind. We ended up bringing back 3 Mexican blankets that are really nice.

Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash uses one main character throughout the whole song. He uses good protagonist. He made the boy strong by having him Fight off people because they where making fun of his name. When giving the boy that name it created a crisis in whole plot of the song. the song also  gives you the point of view from the boy with having a girl name.

Best Friend

Well for the past two days my friend and I have been riding together. She is leasing my horse fro the summer to show so I can focus on school. We have been at the indoor arena and she has done will with him. When she rides she has to learn to sit back and not lean or he will stop. Well the first couple rides he stoped. now they are getting along will and I thing she has a good chance at the shows this summer, but she is so gulable when it comes to jokes she takes them serious and do them. she was a walmart and I told her to not forget a helmet and she actually when back and got one and I told her I was joking. we have so much fun together.

“A friend walks in when everyone else walks out” (anonymous). When you have friends, they are either a good friend or a backstabbing friend. In my book a good friend is the one to have, they will tell things when they are about to happen. Friends are more than just a friend they are a brother or a sister they have your back when you need it. You do not know when you walk into a room, someone is talking crap about you, and then you get that feeling that someone is staring at you. My friend has been in many situations like that when she was going through high school. She would come to school and people would say, “You are a retard,” just because you are in a LD class just means you have a different style of learning. Most kids are like “that is not far she gets advantages on test with notes and we don’t,” well in most cases they do not interrupt information as well as others do.

Technology

Wow, when looking back in future we had the big bulky phones the really fat computers at home. In todays soicety everything you do online or in the world is done on the world wide web.  Almost everybody today live of their blackberry to their banking to updating their facebook. You can find anything on the web. Their is always something on the web.

Snow Storm

Well I had no idea what to blog about so I thought I might tell you how much snow we got. While most of your were sleepin in me and my boyfriend where out playing in it. You know you got alot of snow when a Ford F350 Turbo Desiel got stuck twice. Our farm plows out about 5 driveways and all of them took longer then expected. When you have to push snow and then back-up and push more and do that process over and over just to get in the driveway.We started our day a 5:30AM and did not finish till 4PM. We had to put more desiel in just to finish the last one. While most of the counties where under level 3 Henry County was not so i still had to plow the drives so people could get out to go to work. We did not get iit has bad as Findlay did they got 2inches of ice on everything. And make the matter worse i dont get paided and my mom and dad are in florida soaking up the sun while am stuck in snow literally. Hope you all had a Fun snow day!!!!!!

You have many likes and dislikes of a state but what does the world think is worst about a state. Well in Ohio we are the nerdest state with more library check-outs then any other state. Michigan is the worst with unemlpoyment, Wow go figure with all the factorys that closed down. In Idaho they are the state with the least congressional say, is that why none of them vote they dont really count. Did you know only 2% of their vote matters in the election. Gergia is the sickest state with more than half their population have infuenca. Massachutes have the worst drivers with the highest rate of accidents. New York City is the worst comute. California has the highest pollution. flordia has the highest theft rate in the united states. wonder why? when it comes down too it someone has way to much time to figure all that out.

Response to Mike Adams Essay

In the essay “the dead Grandmother/Exam Syndrome” by Mike Adams, there where good key parts to the essay and a few negative parts. The positive  things that he portrayed is the use of graphs, well organized. the negative is that in my eyes I would be scared to take an exam and then find out a family member died. When I get into a essay or even a book I am more of a visual person than just read, with him using graphs to show what he is explaining defiantly grabs different audiences. For instance, you are a high school student you can really understand with what he is explaining with what the graphs show. When you read an essay you want it to be coherent. . He tells you incidence that are the same but in different countries, like in England “ The Graveyard Grannies” (pg.176).   So when he writes he is   staying with in what he is writing and not over exaggerating the essay with meaningless stuff.  

Elton Johns New Baby

Wow, He adopbted a Baby Boy with his boyfriend. That Baby is going to live the life he never dreamed of. They picked 5 people to be the aunts and uncles. I cant believe that he asked Ozzy Ozborne to be an uncle. Dont you think the kid will be asking where is mom and why do i live with two men. I would be if i was a child and never new my mom. I also belive that a kid should have both sides of parent hood, who will be the mother of that baby and do mommy things with him.

the beliefs of mankind

That mankind should be created and destoryed equally. The ethics we follow are born by the jewish-christian lifestyle. I think that god created us how he wanted us to be and he knows when we can be destroyed and not everyone has the same destination. I feel everybody has a different moral value that they stick to and if god dont want them to take that path like their neighbor.
